REFInd is a UEFI boot manager capable of launching EFISTUB kernels. It is a fork of the no-longer-maintained rEFIt and fixes many issues with respect to non-Mac UEFI booting. It is designed to be platform-neutral and to simplify booting multiple OSes.
- A amazing boot loader that I find very handy for dual booting Windows and Linux on a contemporary EFI structured laptop.
- Functions good.
- 1000% much better than Grub. Both from a visible perspective and functional perspective. Also, super great support from the builder via the conversation community forums!!! I couldn't obtain Grub to load my OS/Times. But, loading rEFInd from Linux making use of simply the install-refind worked like miracle!
- rEFInd simply functions as it is certainly excepted to do: - Configurations are full and well-explained in the doctor - Setting up a concept is easy - Functions well out of the container
